5. The Overall Financial Performance Evaluation
5.1. Overview of the Recent Financial Results
The company closed the fiscal year 2014 with excellent results both in revenue and in net profits. Consolidated revenues increased by 8% as compared to 2013 to reach $48.8 billion. The increase of expenses in theatrical production, TV programming, labor cost inflation, as well as growth of selling and administrative expenses did not exceed the strong sales performance.
